Join us on the fourth Monday of each month, at the St. James United Methodist Church from 10:00am-11:30 am, for a FREE continental breakfast and enjoy some laughter, reminiscence, and camaraderie with others living with a memory diagnosis. Sponsored by Olympian Clinical Research and the Alzheimer’s Association, Tampa Memory Café offers a gathering space for a refreshment of body and spirit.
Living with dementia can be a challenge with fading social opportunities. Memory Cafes were started to give folks a safe and judgment-free space to share the journey. Cate McCarty, Ph.D., also known as Dr. Cate, Dementia Coach, presents a comfortable and engaging environment.
If you, a friend, or loved one has memory problems, and/or you have recently been diagnosed with dementia, you are invited to attend. Non-professional care companions are welcome. Join us for a change of pace, a chance to meet interesting new people, and relax & rejuvenate.
Dr. Cate brings a 40-year background in dementia care and quality of life to the monthly gathering along with the opportunity to reminisce and engage. RSVPs are nice but not necessary.
Tampa Memory Café is FREE to attend and is located at St. James United Methodist Church, 16202 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33647. Look for the purple and white Memory Café signs once at the church.
